Privacy Policy

Ruqyah Daily is operated by Alchemy & Waves Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This policy explains what we store, why, and what control you have over it. We have tried to write it plainly rather than legally.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, your mobile number and a password. The number is how you sign in and return to your own data; the name is so the app can greet you rather than address a stranger. After your first session the app asks, once, whether you are male or female and for an email address; both are optional, and the email is used only to send you a password-reset link if you ask for one. Accounts made before 6 October 2026 signed up with an email address and were asked whether they are male or female; those answers stay on the account. You can change your name later in Settings.
• Your check-ins: hours slept, how you are feeling, and any notes you choose to write.
• Your mobile number: needed to make an account, because it is how you sign in. We may use it to reach you about your account or your programme. It is never sold, never shared outside the people listed below, and never used for marketing.
• Your answers to the programme finder, only if you answer: which area weighs on you most, which signs from a fixed list you have noticed, and after which prayer you will practise. They are stored as items from that list, never as your own words, and used only to recommend a programme and to time your reminder. Accounts from earlier versions may also hold the year you were born; nothing in the app reads it.
• What you are seeking healing from: either one of the options we offer, or your own words if you choose to write them. This is used to shape the du’a step of your daily session. Nobody but you can read what you write here, not our administrators, and not your raqi.
• Your practice: which adhkar you completed, how many minutes of self-ruqyah you recited, and which recitations you played, on what date. This is what draws your rings and your progress through a programme.
• Your location, only if you turn on prayer reminders: your approximate coordinates, rounded, so that prayer times can be calculated for where you actually are rather than for one city. It is stored on your account and used for nothing else. If you never turn prayer reminders on, we never ask for it and never hold it.
• Your Companion conversations: messages you send and the replies you receive.
• A request for a raqi, only if you send one: if you ask us to introduce you to a raqi, we record which division of the country you are in, which of our listed categories you ticked, and whether you would rather see a man or a woman. Nothing else, we do not ask for a phone number on that form and there is no box to describe what you are going through. We answer at the email address already on your account.
• The check on whether a raqi is genuine: nothing at all. Your answers are never sent anywhere and never saved, not even on your own account, they exist only while the screen is open and are gone when you close it. We count that a check was completed and which of the three outcomes it reached, and that count cannot be traced back to a person or to a healer.
• Basic usage data: anonymous statistics about which screens are used and which actions are completed, so we can find what is broken or confusing. If the app crashes on your phone, we also receive a short technical error report: the error message (with anything that looks like an email, phone number or code removed), the part of the app it came from, and the page. This never includes the content of your notes, your own words about your affliction, or your conversations.
• A bKash payment: if you buy a programme with bKash, on ruqyahdaily.com or in the app, we keep the transaction ID (TrxID), the number you paid from, the amount and the programme, and the screenshot if you choose to add one, so we can match your payment. We never see or store your bKash PIN.
• The shop: if you order an item, we keep the name, mobile number and delivery address you give for that order, the item, quantity and amount, and its delivery status, so we can confirm it by phone and deliver it. On your account we also record which shop items appeared on your screen, which you opened, and how far you got in an order, so we can tell which items are useful and where ordering is difficult. We never record what you type into the order form unless you place the order. If you start an order and do not finish it, we may send you one WhatsApp message offering help, and no more than one in 30 days.

We do not collect your contacts, and no card details are ever entered in the app or stored by us. Your photos are never read, except a payment screenshot you choose to upload. Daily adhkar, the Qur’an and the library are free. Some programmes open with a code; we record which code opened which programme, and when.

This is sensitive information

Notes about your sleep, your feelings and your spiritual distress are personal. We treat them as sensitive data. Your entries are protected at the database level by access rules that restrict every row to the account that created it, one user cannot read another user’s check-ins, notes, or conversations, even if they tried.

Who can see your data

• You: always, through the app.
• Us, and a raqi working with us: your number: your mobile number and your name are visible to us and to a raqi working with us, because a contact number nobody may read cannot be used to make contact. Nothing else about you is.
• Our administrators: can see that actions happened and when, that a check-in was saved, that a session was completed, so we can tell whether the app is working and who may need support. They cannot read the content of your check-in notes, your Companion conversations, or what you wrote about what you are seeking healing from. That is enforced by the database, not by policy alone.
• Your raqi, if you add one: sees nothing until you add them, and you are the only one who can. You can search for a raqi by name and send a request; while it is waiting they see your name and nothing else. If they accept, they can see your three daily rings, how many minutes of recitation you listened to, and when you last opened the app. They cannot see what you wrote about what you are seeking healing from, your conversations with the Companion, your sleep, your mood, or anything you noted down, that is enforced by the database, not by policy alone. You can remove them at any time and they lose access immediately. Separately, the app can produce a printable report of your own progress that you may share with a raqi, a doctor or your family; that is your decision each time, and we are not involved in it.
• People in your circle, only if you join one: a circle forms only when you accept a one-time invitation, or someone accepts yours. You and each person in it see each other’s first name and three practice rings, morning adhkar, self-ruqyah minutes, evening adhkar, for today and the last seven days, and any cheer sent. Never your feelings, sleep, notes, what you are seeking healing from, or your Companion conversations; that is enforced by the database. Either of you can remove the other at any time, and access stops immediately.
• Nobody else: we do not sell or rent your data. Nothing you write, log, or tell the Companion is ever shared with advertisers or data brokers. The only advertising tool we use is the Meta Pixel on our website, described under “Services we rely on”.

Services we rely on

• Supabase: stores your account and your entries.
• OpenAI: powers the Companion. Messages you send in that tab are processed by OpenAI to generate a reply. Do not share information there you would not want processed by a third party.
• Vercel: hosts the app.
• Resend: sends account emails, such as confirming your address.
• YouTube: some recitations may play through YouTube’s player, in which case Google may record that a video was played.
• Meta (Facebook), on our website only: we use the Meta Pixel to measure our own Facebook adverts. It tells Meta that a page of our website was opened, that an account was created, or that a payment was made and its amount. It never receives which programme you chose, what you are seeking healing from, your check-ins, your notes, or your Companion conversations. Meta may connect these events to your Facebook account if you are signed in to Facebook in the same browser. It is not used inside the Google Play app, and it does not run if your browser sends “Do Not Track”.
• Stripe, on our website only: takes card payments from buyers outside Bangladesh. You enter your card on Stripe’s own page, so we never see or store your card number. Stripe receives what you type there, such as your name, email, card and country, and the amount. It is not told which programme you chose. We keep a record that a payment was made, its amount, and which programme it opened. Not used inside the Google Play app.
• PostHog: anonymous usage statistics, so we can see which parts of the app are used or broken. It is configured so that it does not record your screen, your notes, your check-in text, or your Companion conversations. It receives only that an action happened, for example “a check-in was saved”, identified by a random account number, never your name or email.

Notifications

If you turn on prayer reminders, we store an anonymous identifier for your device so a reminder can be delivered to it. You can turn reminders off in Settings at any time, which removes it. We never send marketing notifications.

This app is not medical advice

Ruqyah Daily does not diagnose conditions and is not a substitute for medical care. Nothing in this app should be used in place of seeing a doctor. If you are unwell, see a doctor, ruqyah and medical treatment are not alternatives to one another.

The Companion does not diagnose conditions, issue religious rulings, or replace a raqi, scholar, doctor, or mental health professional. If a message suggests you may be in danger, it will respond only with a crisis helpline. If you are in crisis, please contact a local emergency service or a helpline directly.

Your rights

You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, in Settings. You can also request deletion without installing the app, see the deletion page linked below.

You can ask us to export your data at any time by emailing hello@alchemyandwaves.co.uk. We will action any request within 30 days.

Children

This app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects how your data is used, we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app.
